Updates for Media Center

Microsoft released the following three updates for Media Center over the last couple of weeks.

• KB374306 - October 2009 Cumulative Update for Media Center for Windows Vista
• KB974307 - October 2009 Cumulative Update for Media Center TV Pack for Windows Vista
• KB975053 - Description of the Windows Media Center update for Windows 7 that addresses some output issues with ISDB broadcasts

The first two updates fix an issue where in certain scenarios, an Emergency Alert System (EAS) message does not automatically tune to the appropriate channel. These two updates also replace all previously released cumulative updates that have been released for Media Center for Windows Vista and Media Center TV Pack for Windows Vista.

The third update improves the Windows 7 Media Center experience when you are using an ISDB tuner. ISDB is a Japanese standard for digital television and for digital radio.
